Florida Jobs Recovery Just Ahead of U.S. Average

Florida has fared better than the U.S. overall, but pandemic surges have hampered its recovery, with the state only now within 2.3% of its pre-pandemic employment levels.

Dependence on the leisure and hospitality sector has slowed economic growth throughout Florida’s larger cities. But LaborIQ® forecasts most key industries to recoup jobs lost before the end of 2021.

With some of the highest population growth in the nation, the Sunshine State should be prime for job growth, once the travel industry rebounds. With expected growth at three times the national average, Florida should provide plenty of opportunities to those sourcing talent.
