In a recent article assessing the Dallas-Fort Worth labor market, the Dallas Morning News tapped ThinkWhy’s chief analyst Jay Denton for expert insights.

The demand for high-skilled roles is strong, with available talent in short supply. “The challenge, particularly for Dallas and Austin, is they’re going to run out of talent,” states Denton.

On the other hand, blue-collar employees in food preparation, personal care and building maintenance face continuing low wages and an unemployment rate near 10%.
