Once coronavirus vaccines are widely available, job growth should pick up steam as the economy fully reopens next year. LaborIQ expects the pace of growth to substantially improve in mid-to-late 2021.

But with job growth for the big cities expected to average 2.9% versus 2.7% nationally, based on the LaborIQ forecast, recruiters and talent acquisition pros could face logistical challenges keeping up with the spike of hiring needs – especially for roles where talent supply is already tight.

LaborIQ by ThinkWhy continuously forecasts and reports labor data at all levels, measuring impact to cities, industries, occupations and business across the U.S.
